Apply for Bus Transportation

Busing for Heritage Christian Academy is provided through the school's contract with JR Transportation. All applications and fees are managed by the Heritage Christian Education Society Calgary (HCESC). 

Step 1: Before You Apply for Bus Services

  1. Your child must already be enrolled at Heritage Christian Academy before applying for bus services at HCA.
  2. Check the route maps to determine if an existing stop works for your family.
    Note: Depending on the enrolment for busing, routes and stops may be adjusted annually. Final routes and stops will be finalized and posted before the end of June for the upcoming school year.

Step 2: Apply For Bus Services

  1. Complete the Busing Interest Form: Provide the family information requested in the busing interest form to declare your interest in bus transportation.

  2. Receive the Application Form & Payment Information: If there is space available on the route that serves your community, we will contact you and provide the application form and payment options.
  3. Complete and Submit the Application Form: Applicants are processed in the order that they are submitted
  4. Confirm Payment Details: Applications are confirmed only after all information and payment details are completed with the finance team.

Step 3: Pay for Bus Services

  1. Registration Deposit: A minimum payment of 25% of the applicable transportation fees is due at the time of registration.
  2. Payments: The balance may be paid in full or set up as 9 automatic payments that will be collected from September through May of the applicable school year.
  3. Cancellation / Refund: Enrolment in the bus program is a one-year commitment and refunds will not be issued. If registration is cancelled before August 1 the 75% balance of payments will be stopped but the deposit is non-refundable.

Step 4: Receive Confirmation of Bus Services

If the information provided on your form meets the requirements for transportation services, a confirmation email will be sent out within 5 business days. If for any reason, your application is denied you will be contacted directly.

Following approval in the bus program at HCA, your student will be assigned to a route and designated stop. A permanent electronic bus pass will be issued and either mailed out or made available for pickup from the main office.

The start date for your child to ride the bus will only take effect after you have received the confirmation email.
