2011 Spring ToursExcellence in music performance requires tutelage, practice, dedication and performance. The HCA music program is designed to train young musicians to the highest standard in all of these areas, and an important aspect of this training is the annual Spring Tour. Junior High Choir and Band students will perform at regional festivals and combine competition with clinical instruction and of course, fun. The 2011 Senior High Music Tour is the second year in the three year touring cycle. The first year is a local/regional tour, the second year is a tour to a major international competition and the third year is tour to a regional/national competition. This year's tour to Chicago, IL will include the presitgious Chicago Heritage Festival and a variety of world class educational opportunities including a day of music instruction at the Moody Bible Institute. Tour dates are tentatively set for April 26-May4, 2011. The cost of this tour is estimated at $2000. Monthly payment plan deposits along with post-dated cheques for the remainder of the fees are due by July 15, 2010. All deposits and subsequent post-dated payments are due by September 30, 2010. Students who have not paid deposits by September 30, 2010 will be ineligible for the 2011 tour. Check this site often leading up to each Spring Tour for updated information.
