I come from a small town north of Edmonton called Westlock. I began attending church there with my family when I was three years old. However, it was not until I was 16 that I decided to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. As my relationship with Jesus grew I began to feel God’s call on my life.
After I graduated from high school, God opened doors for me to attend Alberta Bible College here in Calgary. I went there for one year and then began to pursue my teaching career at the University of Calgary. Then in 2005 I graduated from the U of C and began substitute teaching.
During the 2006-2007 school year, I taught English in Japan to junior high and elementary school students. Living and working in Japan was an enriching experience which expanded my worldview, as well as my relationship with God as I trusted him to be with me while I lived away from my family and friends.
Now I feel very blessed to be teaching here at Heritage Christian Academy. I love being able to talk about spiritual matters with my students and to watch them grow in faith!
I am very dedicated to my job but I also believe in living a balanced lifestyle. I enjoy staying active through running, walking, skiing, etc. I am also an avid reader and I hope to share my love of reading with my students.
I have been married since 2010 and have had the privilege of traveling with my husband quite extensively. We are involved in a church plant in our community and are always seeking opportunities to share the love of Christ with those around us.
I thank God daily for the opportunity to work with his precious children as they learn more about Him and who they are in Christ.
