

Mandatory Parent MeetingAll parents will be required to attend the information meeting in March 2012. This meeting is tentatively scheduled for March 9, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Watch for emails and communication from the school with current dates and times. Permission/waivers forms, expectations of students and parents, tour itinerary and answers to parents questions will be provided at this meeting. A Notary Public will be on hand to notarize permission forms for a nominal fee. Please ensure you bring two pieces of photo identification and a copy of the face page of your student's passport. Tour Cost and PaymentFor more info on the Senior tour, please follow this link. Performance Dress and LuggageAppearance is an important part of adjudication at Festival. It is essential all students look uniformly sharp during performances. All students are required to have the approved Performance Dress which consists of black Top Marks trousers (students are NOT permitted to wear any other brand), black socks, clean and polished dress shoes and a Tux shirt (available at the The Tux Shop, 112-3132 26 Street NE). Students must open their luggage at the airport to show clean, pressed and clearly labelled Performance Dress on the morning of tour departure. (The day will be free dress for all Senior Music Tour Students). Students will be responsible to ensure their performance dress clean and freshly pressed for every performance. Please ensure your student has black Top Marks trousers, sufficient black socks for all performances and a well fitting Tux shirt . Click here to see a poster of appropriate performance dress. All Senior Tour Students may pack one labelled duffle bag no larger than maximum-sized airline carry-on. Students are permitted to bring ONLY this bag, their instrument and their school backpack. Because of space limitations, this policy is strictly enforced. Electronic EntertainmentStudents are permitted to bring electronic entertainment devices such as MP3 players, iPods and DVD players. Any device(s) and all accessories must fit in the students backpack. All games, movies and music must meet generally accepted Christian standards. Movies rated more mature than PG-13 and games more mature than 'T' or media with occult, sex, or violence will be confiscated for the duration of the trip. Health InsuranceProof of valid Alberta Health and Wellness insurance (AHIP card) or other health insurance is required for each student.
