When you recall your childhood, your first memory is probably of the intermediate years. This is the time of life when we grow in confidence, independence and skill, and yet we still enjoy the freedom of childhood. At Heritage we recognize the importance of helping our students develop self-discipline and skills necessary to live more independently. Our Intermediate students are encouraged to grow in strong Christian values and character so they may thrive through adolescence and achieve success at school and in life! Academic excellence is encouraged and emphasis is placed on students developing strong writing skills. Mathematics and Language Arts form the core of our academic program while Social Studies and Science become more important. Students learn to consider and apply a Christian worldview in all learning areas. Music, Art, Physical Education, French, Computers and Library Skills round out our Intermediate studies. Intermediate students are introduced to extra-curricular options such as intramural sports and choir. These activities take place during the noon recess break.
