The High School years are an exciting time for students. Our mission is to equip students for life and nowhere is that more important than during their later teens. Our drive for excellence in academics ensures students have the widest possible range of post-secondary options.
As part of expanding the choices available to students, Heritage now offers online electives. Online learning is an integral part of post-secondary education, and students who participate in this form of learning in High School will be prepared for this challenging learning environment at College or University.
Heritage graduates obtain the Alberta Education graduation diploma common to all Public and Separate schools in the province.
High School class options include Band, Choir, Vocal Jazz, Jazz Ensemble, French, Spanish, Drama, Outdoor Ed, Art, Computer Technology, Law, Physical Education, Work Experience, Multi-media/Web Design, Foods and Sports Medicine, with more options added each year.
Our students are active outside of regular school hours. Service opportunities through Urban Servants encourage students to use their gifts and talents in service to others in Christ's name and yearly mission trips challenge our students to experience daily life in a foreign culture. Moral character is built through sports teams, traveling concert band and choir, worship band, regular chapels and our unique High School Fall Retreat.
Preparing students to graduate from High School and for the rigours of post-secondary education does not fulfill the whole of our mission. We believe our students must be equipped for life--a life lived committed to Jesus Christ. Through our vision to see students live with moral integrity and in service to others, we believe our students are able to discover and live out God's unique call on their lives.
