HCA is justifiably proud of its fine arts program. Under the direction of Mr. Torri Airhart, the music program at HCA promotes excellence in character and musical performace. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are given opportunities to sing in choir. All HCA students learn a musical instrument in the Grade 6 band. The Junior High program includes choir, concert band and contemporary worship band. The HCA Senior High Choir and Concert Band have garnered Gold standards and top placement at Heritage Festival, Chicago in 2011, Silver and Gold standards and top placements at the Heritage Festival, Anaheim, 2008 and Heritage Festival, Seattle, 2009. Students may also earn Alberta Learning credits in the Vocal Jazz and Jazz Band audition ensembles. Rev 7 is the High School contemporary worship band. High School students at HCA may also take credit classes in Visual Arts or Drama. The Drama program successfully concluded its first year in 2008/09 and capped its year with a major student written, produced and acted play in the spring of 2009.
