At Heritage, we believe that developing physical fitness and competing on sports teams is an excellent way for students to strengthen moral character. Our teams learn not only how to compete to win, but how to learn valuable life lessons in the process of striving for excellence. Whether students play on a school team or participate in lunch-hour intramural sports, they exercise both their physical and their moral muscle.
Physical Education is a regular part of the school curriculum for all students. Athletic facilities include a double-sized gymnasium, a secure outdoor courtyard with basketball courts, a playground for younger children and a large playing field.
Heritage Christian Academy competes as an Associate Member with the Calgary Independent Schools Athletic Association against schools of similar size in Calgary. We take great pride in our school teams, and can boast of several league championships and one Zone championship.
